What is MPOWER?
MPOWER is McAfee’s 10th annual Security Summit where you can get the information you need to stay ahead of the latest,
most creative cyber threats. This is the event where you and other security professionals come together to strategize, to network, to learn about the newest and
most innovative ways to ward off advanced cyber-attacks. You’ll get the latest tricks and the newest strategies to neutralize today’s most sophisticated threats
and keep your company safe.
When is MPOWER?
MPOWER runs Tuesday, October 17 through Thursday, October 19, 2017.
- MPOWER Targeted Group Meetings: Tuesday, October 17
- MPOWER Welcome Reception: Tuesday evening, October 17
- MPOWER Expo: Tuesday, October 17 through Thursday, October 19
- MPOWER Summit: Tuesday, October 17 through Thursday, October 19
Where will MPOWER be held?

What is the dress code for MPOWER?
Business casual attire is appropriate for attending the sessions at the congress center. Casual attire is appropriate for the Wednesday night evening event.
Can I earn CPE credits?
Yes, each attendee registered for a full MPOWER summit pass will earn CPE credits which are awarded at the rate of one CPE per hour of activity. Be sure to
get your badge scanned at the door for each session to get credit.

Will you have a Mobile App for the summit?
Yes. We will have a Mobile App for iPhone, Android and HTML5 (Blackberry). Not only will you have access to all of your preshow planning efforts and be
able to create a personalized summit experience but you will be able to view interactive floor maps, network with peers, complete surveys, participate in
competitions and receive important events alerts and updates throughout the summit.
What is the Agenda Builder?
The Agenda Builder is an online tool that allows MPOWER full-summit attendees to view a complete listing of sessions and create their own personalized agenda for
the event. You can keep track of exhibitors of interest, as well as organize sessions and appointments with your own calendar.
The online Agenda Builder is synchronized with the Agenda Builder in our Mobile App to ensure you always have your current agenda handy onsite. Once you have
registered for MPOWER, you will gain access to the Agenda
Builder through the My Event site by logging in with the email address and password you used during registration.
Will I be able to get a copy of the presentations after the event?
Yes. The presentations will be posted online (under a new “Presentations” tab) for access by attendees shortly after the conclusion of MPOWER. You will be
advised via email of the password to access the site and it will also be found within your summit guide.
Registration
How do I register?
I started my registration but didn’t finish. How do I complete my registration?
Please access the My Event site and enter the email and password you entered when you started the registration process and continue with your registration.
If you cannot remember your password, you can easily reset.
I received a Promo Code. How do I apply it to my registration?
If you have not already registered for MPOWER, begin your
registration
and fill in the code on the first page where indicated. If you have already registered, please forward your Promo Code to our registration team
at
[email protected] and they will process your refund.
How much is registration?
There are a number of different options depending on the timing of your actual registration and if you are a Government employee or not. Visit our
Registration Information section for all the details around pricing.
What forms of registration payment do you accept?
Acceptable methods of payment include money order (U.S. funds only), check, purchase order, wire transfer, or credit card (American Express,
MasterCard, or Visa). Registrations received without payment will not be processed and your payment must be received in order to print your summit badge onsite.
What is the registration cancellation, substitution and change policy?
What is included in my MPOWER full summit pass?
Your MPOWER full summit pass includes continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments on Wednesday and Thursday, the Tuesday evening Welcome
Reception in the Expo Hall and the special evening event on Thursday evening. It also includes summit sessions, keynotes, the expo hall and summit materials
plus free Wi-Fi in MPOWER event locations within the congress center.
Is there an Expo Only Pass?
Because we keep the cost of the MPOWER full summit pass so low, we do not offer an Expo Only pass.
Is there a deadline for registration?
No. You can
register online through the last day of the summit
as well as in person onsite. However there is a deadline for hotel registration at The Aria and that is
September 13, 2017 at 5:00 pm Pacific Time.
Can I bring a guest to MPOWER?
Guest passes for MPOWER special events are available for purchase so attendees’ families and friends can share in some of the summit’s special
activities. The MPOWER Guest Pass is available for $250 and allows attendees to bring one guest to the Tuesday night Welcome Reception and the special evening
celebration on Thursday evening. Guest passes can be purchased during online
registration
or onsite at the summit registration desk.
Please note: MPOWER guests must be 21 years or older and will not be admitted to the general sessions, breakout sessions, or morning and mid-day meal functions.

When is registration open?
Registration is open the following hours:
Tuesday, October 17 from 7 am - 8 pm
Wednesday, October 18 from 7 am - 5:30 pm
Thursday, October 19 from 7 am - 5:30 pm
What happens if I lose my badge?
Please go to registration to have your badge reprinted. You will be required to show photo identification and pay a $100 badge replacement fee.
When do I need to wear my summit badge?
You will need to wear your MPOWER badge and the associated lanyard throughout the event including breakout sessions, keynotes, in the exhibit
hall (for meals and visits to the show floor) and to the evening event on Thursday night.
Travel, Transportation, and Accommodations
How do I get to the Conference Center?
Do I need a Visa to attend MPOWER?
Some countries may require a visa for entry so please check well in advance with your country's US consulate.
If I do require a Visa, how can I obtain a Visa invitation letter?
If you require a Visa letter from the MPOWER team, please be prepared to provide the following information:
- Name as it appears on passport
- Company Name and Location (city, country)
- Business Title
- Date of Birth
- Passport #
- Date of Issue
- Date of Expiration
- Issued By
- Citizenship
- National ID
Visa invitation letters will only be issued for fully paid, full summit attendees. Please send your request

[email protected] and highlight that you are requesting a MPOWER Visa invitation letter in the subject line.
How do I book my hotel accommodations for MPOWER?

What is the weather like in October in Las Vegas?
In late October the high is around 75-80° F and the low is around 50-55° F.

How can I register for sessions?
Registered attendees will be able to sign up for sessions and create their own personal agenda through the Agenda Builder. This capability will
be available later this year and you will receive email notification at that time. We will also be launching our Mobile App later in the year and you will be
able to get your agenda on the App as well.
Networking Opportunities
What happens at the Welcome Reception?
The annual Welcome Reception is the first social activity of MPOWER and an excellent networking opportunity. Join us in the Expo Hall on
Tuesday evening for drinks and appetizers and hear about the latest security innovations from the most prominent companies in the industry.
What happens at the Expo Hall?
The Expo Hall is where McAfee’s partners will be showcasing their security solutions and is the location where you can network with your
peers in the industry. The Expo Hall will be open as follows:
- Tuesday, October 17 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm
- Wednesday, October 18 from 11:30 am - 3:00 pm
- Thursday, October 19 from 11:30 am - 3:00 pm
What happens at the Thursday Evening special event?
The final night event will feature a private concert for attendees. Come join us on the final evening of the summit and enjoy food and drink
and mingle with your colleagues while enjoying a spectacular performance.
